The House of FENDI was established by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in 1925, with the opening of a handbag and fur workshop in the heart of Rome. Through the helm of the legendary five Fendi sisters Paola, Anna, Franca, Carla and Alda, daughters of the founders, FENDI soon wins international acclaim emerging as a Maison renowned for its craftsmanship and innovation. In 1965, they begin the collaboration with visionary Karl Lagerfeld that lasted 54 years, the longest in fashion history. In 1992, Silvia Venturini Fendi seconds Lagerfeld, to become Artistic Director of Accessories and Menswear until 2025. In 2000 the LVMH Group acquires FENDI becoming in 2001 its majority shareholder. Appointed in 2020, Kim Jones held the role of Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear until 2024. In October 2025, Maria Grazia Chiuri is appointed Chief Creative Officer of the Roman House.
