Maje Unveils Its First New Concept Boutique in Australia at Westfield Sydney

Maje is proud to unveil its new boutique at Westfield Sydney, marking the debut of the Maison's latest retail concept in Australia. Designed by renowned interior designer Valériane Lazard, the space is a tribute to the Mediterranean, a lasting source of inspiration shared by Lazard and Maje Founder and Artistic Director, Judith Milgrom. Together, they have created a boutique that celebrates natural materials, artisanal craftsmanship and the unique light and warmth of the Mediterranean.

Stepping into the boutique, visitors are welcomed into a refined and light-filled environment where Parisian elegance meets Mediterranean soul. A light-filled glass façade opens onto interiors rich in texture and character, creating a space that feels both sophisticated and inviting.

Pink terracotta tiles from Raujolles evoke the charm of Mediterranean villages, while handcrafted hammered iron fixtures pay homage to traditional craftsmanship. Ceramic podiums by Canoa Lab, handmade in Portugal, draw inspiration from the timeless vessels found throughout the Mediterranean basin. At the heart of the boutique, a curved and welcoming seating reflects the spirit of hospitality and generosity that has long inspired Judith Milgrom.

Natural materials, including gouged wood, organic wickerwork and lime-coated walls, create an atmosphere that is both authentic and contemporary. Throughout the space, textured and tinted glass mirrors and shelving capture and reflect the light, reminiscent of sunlight dancing across the sea and whitewashed façades. As the light shifts throughout the day, the boutique comes to life with warmth, movement, and energy.
