North Lakes School Holidays - Lily and Meagan - NLK

Looking for something to do with your kids? Discover our guide below to the top kid-approved activities here at Westfield North Lakes. From enchanting play areas to delicious treats, we’ve curated a list to make your next visit a memorable adventure for little ones.

1. Visit one of our free play areas

Our imaginative play spaces for kids aged up to 10 have slides, climbing structures and interactive games to keep kids entertained. Find our Under the Sea playground near the Food Court.

Ideal for younger children aged under 6, our indoor playground located in front of Big W is all about climbing and exploring within a safe environment. Kids can take a drive in the big red car or enjoy interactive games along the walls. Conveniently located next to Caffe Cherry Beans so you can grab a coffee and sit back and relax while watching the kids play. All children are welcome, entry is free, children must be always supervised.

2. Watch the latest kids’ movie at Event Cinemas

Create a core memory for your little ones with a side of popcorn or ice-cream and watch a movie on the big screen. Check out the latest movie releases here.

3. Dine at one of our child friendly restaurants

We have many places with food your kids will love in the food court or in our dining precinct. If chicken nuggets and chips are your child’s go-to then head to Schnitz and McDonald's or grab freshly rolled sushi from Sushi Hub and Oi Sushi. There is something to satisfy everyone’s tastebuds.

There are many pram and baby friendly cafes in centre too. Pick up a babycino and a coffee with a friend while you swap stories about your little one. Head to Archer Coffee and Bagels, The Coffee Club, and Crema Espresso.

4. Indulge in a sweet treat

There’s nothing like ending a shopping trip with a special treat. Whether it’s gelato from Gelatissimo, a decadent dessert from San Churro, scroll from Cinnabon or a delicious donut from Donut King and Brooklyn Donut & Coffee Co. It might make the trip back to the car and home much easier for all involved.

5. Break out of an escape room

Red Lock Escape Rooms offer an immersive, real-life adventure game. An escape room is a team game played with 2 to 7 players and players need to work together to find the clues and solve the puzzles in order to escape before the time runs out. This activity is immense fun and creates the perfect opportunity to let your kids find their inner detective.

6. Stock up on craft supplies

Looking for ways to keep the kids busy when you’re at home? Grab all the craft supplies you could ever need from Smiggle, Target, Kmart, The Reject Shop and Big W. From paints and colouring in books to paddle pop sticks and sticky tape, you’ll find an array of art and craft supplies to help your kids’ imagination run wild and get creative.

7. Get ingredients for a homemade feast

Is your little one a fan of baking or cooking? Perhaps cookies, smoothie ice blocks or a homemade mini pizza? Head to North Lakes Quality Meats, Woolworths, Coles, ALDI or Hanaromart Asian Grocery and stock up on what you need to have a fun, hands-on activity at home. Don’t forget to search recipes before you arrive so you have your shopping list ready. Make it fun and treat it like a scavenger hunt to find what you need. Check out some of our fun, kid-friendly recipes here.

8. Pamper day out

Enjoy a bit of pampering in centre at one of our nail salons – kids can try a new bright colour on their nails and mums will love a moment to sit still and relax in the massage chair. Try ProfesstioNAIL, Fashion Nails & Beauty, Nexus Nails and Beauty Stop.
