Saba Rose Button Foundation
Radiant. Empathetic. Fierce

Kirst’s unwavering dedication to children with additional needs has helped more than 200 families across Western Australia gain access to life-changing therapy and care through the Saba Rose Button Foundation (SRBF). SRBF was established after her own daughter suffered an acquired brain injury, driving Kirst’s commitment to ensuring every child can lead their best life, regardless of financial barriers.
The not-for-profit children’s charity raises much-needed funds to provide therapy, specialised equipment, parental respite and home care.
It’s program’s make these vital services accessible for families across metropolitan, regional and remote areas.
With Kirst at the helm, those facing significant physical and emotional challenges every day are not left to struggle alone. Having seen her daughter Saba thrive through rehabilitation, Kirst is now driven by bringing this opportunity to others.
“I know what it feels like to go through times of adversity and uncertainty”, says Kirst. “I want to give back. I am motivated by seeing the children we sponsor achieve great things!”
Her work also has a deep impact on her wider community, raising awareness and understanding of children with additional needs.
Kirst adds, “I am also motivated to advocate for equal opportunities for these children and their families. There is ‘always’ a way.”
The $20,000 grant will be used to fund approximately 100 hours of therapy to help children reach their rehabilitation goals.
We’d like to thank and acknowledge our finalists who will receive a $5K grant for the organisation they represent...
