At Westfield, we know our centres are more than just shopping hubs. They are lifestyle destinations where people come to connect, share and inform.
We cultivate spaces that are inclusive and welcoming, which our communities are proud to call their own; and we contribute to the social wellbeing and cohesion of our local regions through a number of programs and services. It is through this commitment that we deliver our purpose of creating extraordinary places, connecting and enriching communities.
Westfield Local Heroes
Westfield Local Heroes is an important new program that connects and enriches our communities. The program discovers and celebrates individuals who promote social wellbeing and harmony in our communities through their work, across one or more of the three social values of Family, Youth Opportunity and Inclusion.
Westfield Local Heroes are recognised and voted for by their community, with three finalists per Westfield centre each awarded a $10,000 grant to support their affiliated organisation's work and programs to grow and thrive.
The program is open to people in all sectors, including business, government, education, sports, welfare, community and not for profit.
The Westfield Local Heroes program has closed for 2018. To stay up to date for next year's program, subscribe here.
The Community Hub
At Westfield Coomera, we prioritise the importance of connecting and enriching our community. Through this, we created a dedicated space for the community to access called, The Community Hub. This space is an exclusive area for community-focused groups to come together including; not-for-profits, community groups, charities, welfare organisations, schools and more. This space can be booked by members of the community and will include a projector, tables, chairs, whiteboards and more.
You can book The Community Hub, by emailing us here.
Westfield Walkers Coomera
Lovers of window shopping will be pleased to know that window browsing can be good for your health.
Westfield Coomera provides a safe environment which enables walkers to get active; rain, hail or shine. Walkers who are new to physical activity or are recovering from a health issue enjoy being able to walk on a smooth surface with no obstacles and are encouraged to walk at their own pace. Walkers have access to amenities as well as plenty of seating throughout the mall should you wish to have a rest.
The Westfield Walkers meet at Café 63, located near the food court, and walk laps around the shopping centre every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday morning at 7.30am.

Justice of the Peace
The JP’s in the Community Program is a free community service, staffed by volunteers and supported by Queensland’s Department of Justice and Attorney-General. The program provides access for the community for consistent and reliable witnessing services. JP services are available in The Community Hub, located externally just behind H&M, each Wednesday 10am – 2pm and Friday 12pm – 4pm.
We work closely with key local organisations, groups and individuals to discover, celebrate and contribute to those things that are relevant and meaningful to the local community. We also invite customer and community insights via face-to-face, phone and digital channels.
