Community

At Westfield, we know our centres are more than just shopping hubs. They are lifestyle destinations where people come to connect, share and inform.

We cultivate spaces that are inclusive and welcoming, which our communities are proud to call their own; and we contribute to the social wellbeing and cohesion of our local regions through a number of programs and services. It is through this commitment that we deliver our purpose of creating extraordinary places, connecting and enriching communities.

The next phase of the program is assessment, where all nominations will be assessed by a panel against set criterion to create a shortlist of 6 finalists per Westfield Centre. The community will then be invited to cast their votes. Your three Westfield Local Heroes (126 in total across Australia and New Zealand) will then be awarded a $10,000 grant for their affiliated organisation or group.

Community engagement

We work closely with key local organisations, groups and individuals to discover, celebrate and contribute to those things that are relevant and meaningful to the local community. We also invite customer and community insights via face-to-face, phone and digital channels.

At Westfield, we work with our community partners to encourage, respect and understand our community's needs through experience, by recognising and helping to resolve issues, in order for us to become recognised as an essential and integral part of the community.

Contributing to our local communities

We provide a dedicated space in all Westfield centres for community-focused groups (i.e. not-for-profit sports groups, community groups, charities and welfare organisations) to connect with people in the local area.

And our staff are passionate about giving back and we support them to do this in a variety of ways through Workplace Giving and Volunteering. For more information on any of our programs or services, please contact us by email.
