Essential Beauty: Why you should wax in winter
Essential Beauty, Level 1
Why wax in winter?
Establishing or maintaining your waxing routine in winter gives you a head start for summer!
By the time summer rolls around, you will have a perfect wax routine in place. Not only will you maintain your fabulous results from having regular waxes, but your hair will also grow back progressively finer and sparser, and you will notice you will feel hair-free skin for much longer periods of time.
Sync up your hair growth cycle
Hair grows in different cycles and they can all be in different stages of their cycle at any time. If you are new to waxing or do not have a regular waxing routine, you might see short stubble creep up only a few days after your waxing appointment. This is because the hair sitting just below your skin’s surface has annoyingly decided to push out of your skin straight after your wax.
It can take up to 4-6 regular waxes for your hair growth cycle to be in sync, and for all to grow in the same phase simultaneously. This is why consistent waxing is so important, and a perfected routine throughout winter will ensure you are smooth and glowing in time for summer!
