It can be hard to keep the kids entertained after school, but Tuggerah Library have some awesome activities for kids of all ages to enjoy.

School Holidays

Fantasy Eggs
Join us to create a mermaid or dragon egg, made from air dried clay and decorated by you.
You can then take home your magical be-jewelled creation.
For children aged 8-12 years.

Magic Show
Join in the fun with this interactive magic show that will entertain and engage all ages.
Sit back as Joel Howlett performs illusions in the funny and dazzling show. This performance has more fun than you can wave a wand at.

Create your own mesmerising galaxy jar, using simple craft supplies for a fun and cosmic crafting experience.

Pillowcase Program
Preparing Kids for Emergencies
At this workshop kids will learn practical skills that contribute to disaster resilience and help them be prepared for an emergency.
Presented by The Red Cross, this interactive workshop encourages children to be active participants in their own emergency preparedness and help reduce real and imagined fears around all kinds of emergencies.
At the workshop we will discuss:
• the importance of being prepared
• the thoughts and feelings that may arise before, during and after an emergency
• what to pack in an emergency kit
Everyone will then decorate a pillowcase to take home, to start their own personal emergency kit.
For children aged 4+ years.

Weekly - Babytime

Babytime is a special program of songs, rhymes and simple stories for infants aged from 0 to 24 months. It provides a fun session of songs, rhymes and a chance to read with your baby.
When: Every Thursday

Weekly - Toddlertime

Toddlertime aims to develop language, literacy and numeracy skills for children aged 2-3 years as well as help parents better engage with their children through songs, stories and activities.

Weekly - Storytime

Storytime encourages a love of reading and creativity for preschool children aged 3-5 years using stories, songs and a fun craft activity.
When: Every Thursday
Time: 11:00 am
Age group: 2 - 3 years
Cost: Free


Monthly - Toddler Craft Club

Toddler Craft Club is an opportunity for toddlers and their parents to enjoy some simple, fun craft activities at the library. Have fun whilst helping to develop your child’s imagination, creativity and fine motor skills. Bring a smock or old clothes as we will get messy! No bookings required.
When: Last Tuesday of each month

Age group: 2+ years reccomended
