Every container returned makes an impact. At Westfield Southland, we want to help you give back to our community and protect our environment by facilitating easy recycling habits.
How to participate?
- Simply collect eligible drink containers
- Find a refund point
- Earn or donate your refund

What drink containers are eligible?
Most aluminium, glass, plastic and liquid paperboard (carton) drink containers between 150mL and 3 litres are eligible.
Look for the 10c mark on the drink container label. It is often located near the barcode.
Tips for recycling
- Don't crush your containers as these can damage the machine so most refund points won't accept these.
- Leave the lids on as they may be recyclable. They will become part of the circular economy too and will be made into new products.

How do I received my refund?
You can either keep your refund, or support your favourite charity or community organisation with a donation.
