Westfield Local Heroes
Congratulations to our 2018 and 2019 Westfield Local Heroes, whose affiliated organisations have received a $10,000 grant to support their work, program or activities.
Westfield Local Heroes is a community recognition and grants program, connecting and enriching local communities. Launched in 2018, the program spans our 40 trade areas across Australia and New Zealand. In 2019, we are awarding $1.2 million to 120 local organisations.
Westfield Local Heroes are nominated and voted for by their communities, with the outcome of the public vote determining the three successful 2019 nominees for every Westfield centre. Each of the affiliated organisations of the successful heroes will be awarded a $10,000 grant to support their work to thrive.
In February 2020, we will open nominations for the 2020 Westfield Local Heroes program, so start thinking about those people in your communities who make a difference. Check back here for further information and to nominate.
Westfield community sites
We provide a dedicated space in all 40 Westfield centres in Australia and New Zealand for community-focused groups (i.e. not-for-profit sports groups, community groups, charities and welfare organisations) to connect with people in the local area. Priority is given to groups and activities that are relevant and valued to the local community. Contact us for more information.
We work closely with key local organisations, groups and individuals to discover, celebrate and contribute to those things that are relevant and meaningful to the local community. We also invite customer and community insights via face-to-face, phone and digital channels.
At Westfield, we work with our community partners to encourage, respect and understand our community's needs through experience, by recognising and helping to resolve issues, in order for us to become recognised as an essential and integral part of the community.
