What we look for
These are the four key things we look for in our Westfield Local Heroes and the organisations and groups they represent:
1
Role models
Westfield Local Heroes are positive role models who lead by example and who are trusted and respected by members of their community.
2
Impactful contributions
Our heroes’ work or actions positively impact the communities or environment within the local area of a Westfield destination.
3
Grants support the local community
The organisations that our finalists and heroes represent spend their Westfield Local Heroes grants in ways that directly benefit the community or environment within the local area of a Westfield destination.
4
Community vision
Our finalists and heroes’ organisations have clear goals on how they will continue to help their local communities thrive and build resilience. Westfield looks for additional ways to work with these organisations to help them grow their impact.
Please note
Grants will only be paid into the official bank accounts of the represented organisations or groups. Grants will not be paid into personal accounts.
The organisations or groups that our Westfield Local Heroes represent can include any type of incorporated or unincorporated group or organisation such as registered community groups, sporting clubs, not-for-profits, schools, emergency services, profit for purpose, social enterprise and business.
