Monique Louise

Uni Camp for Kids

Committed. Influential. Empowering.

Monique Louise has been awarded a $20,000 grant for their organisation, Uni Camp for Kids.

At the age of 24, Monique Louise has already contributed thousands of volunteer hours and raised more than $200,000 for hundreds of Western Australia’s at-risk children.

During her six years with Uni Camp for Kids (UCFK) - an organisation where young volunteers run recreational camps and picnics for underprivileged children - Monique has held the roles of Treasurer, Secretary and organisation President.

“Over my years of volunteering, I have learnt so much from these children, especially resilience,“ says Monique.

“No child should ever have to face the difficulties and hardships of the children we support,” she adds.

Monique has led significant initiatives to help grow UCFK and its impact, while also ensuring its 400 volunteers feel cared for and valued.

Through Monique’s leadership, underprivileged young people can access new opportunities, create positive memories, connect with country and feel included. In 2025 alone, she and the team helped over 500 children between the ages of five and 12, referred by social workers, psychologists, and school leaders.

“These children have so much potential and hope but many have not had a consistent support in their lives,” explains Monique.

“Knowing I can make a difference... and be a supportive role model is what keeps me coming back each year, alongside an inspiring community of volunteers who share the same goal,” she adds.

We'd like to thank and acknowledge our finalists who will receive a $5,000 grant for the organisation they represent

Jessica Yugovich

The Aliyah Mae Foundation

Resilient. Selfless. Courageous.

After her daughter Aliyah passed suddenly in 2024, Jess Yugovich founded The Aliyah Mae Foundation to support other WA families navigating child loss or critical illness. Her foundation provides essential help to grieving parents when they need it most, offering care packs in hospital, grief counselling funding, education, and an online support hub.

Louise Shedden

Back on Track Foundation

Creative. Determined. Compassionate.

Through her work with the Back on Track foundation, Louise Shedden helps young cancer survivors and their siblings rebuild educational futures after treatment disrupts their schooling. Last year the organisation supported 145 children across 97 West Australian schools with tailored learning plans, advocacy and tutoring, giving families a voice and helping young people reclaim their place in the classroom.
