Coomera Courts New Mural Reveal

We are proud to reveal our Coomera Courts Community Mural!

Coomera Courts has a fresh new look and we wanted to capture the journey with an exciting video (see below) revealing how it all came together.

At Westfield Coomera family and youth along with inclusion and equity are two of our top priority pillars and we have been focusing strongly on engaging with our youth whilst creating a safe and fun environment for our customers and local community.

We engaged the help or renown Gold Coast artist Claudio Kirac and Emma Vanzaane from Art-work Agency and Belinda Tessieri from Gold Coast Youth Services to bring together some young people who were interested in art to collaborate in an art workshop to foster some creative ideas for the mural.

The workshop was a huge success and with the help of the youth; Alex Ford, Jaxx Beckett, Ellira Beckett, Memphis Eaton, and Keirnan Eaton, Claudio worked his magic and designed the mural using the inspirations that came from the workshop.

We combined the mural reveal celebration with our ongoing Thursday afternoon drop-in basketball sessions. These afternoon sessions are in partnership with the Gold Coast Youth Service team and local Coomera Police.

We also loved having some delicious sampling of food and drinks from The Bavarian, Vapiano and Betty’s Burgers live music, and basketball games on the day.

We love the vibrant colours and fun energy that the youth has brought to the Coomera Courts mural and we hope our customers do too.

The Coomera Courts is open for the whole community to enjoy and you can find out more information about the Coomera Courts drop-in clinics here.
