Single Malt

Single malt whisky is made from one distillery that only uses a single type of grain.

Taste/character:

The Balvenie: vanilla, cinnamon, apple, coconut, honey, toast.

The Glenlivet: vanilla, lemon, toffee, honeysuckle.

The Macallan: vanilla, pear, oak, honey, apple.

Glenfiddich: vanilla, pear, apple, cream.

Yamazaki: vanilla, spices, red fruits, wood.

Blended

Blended whisky is a mix of different types of whiskys that can come from different distilleries. Anything is possible with a blend.

Taste/character:

Chivas Regal: vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, oak, dried fruit.

Johnnie Walker: rose, hazelnut, smoke, dark chocolate, honey, tobacco.

Royal Salute: honey, lemon, chocolate, oak, soft spices.
