A new look Food Court, all your favourite retailers. Win, win.
If you’ve been in Centre recently you may have noticed that our Food Court has been a hive of activity. We’ve been busily transforming the space and are so excited to be able to share the finished product with you.
The brand-new Food Court was created specifically for you, our customers, to enjoy at any time throughout the day. We’ve got you covered whether you’re after a coffee, lunch, mid-afternoon snack or an early evening meal.
It’s a great place to hang out with friends and family.
The use of natural materials, lush greenery and ambient lighting creates a casual and welcoming atmosphere. Relax in the space under large trees or within the pavilion where a green canopy allows you to relax and replenish.
There are a variety of seating options to cater for all. From communal tables for bigger groups to banquets and comfortable lounge seating. And if you need to recharge your phone we’ve got you covered through several charging options throughout.
Sid Tapia, one of Australia’s most prolific and respected street artists, created a vibrant and colourful mural, which incorporates our customers input of Mt Druitt and helps to bring the space to life.
The concept came from community consultation led by Ned Narouz, CEO of Rap 4 Change and 2019 Westfield Mt Druitt Local Hero, to deliver the large-scale, uniquely Mt Druitt piece.
The piece features a pair of roller skates, with a waterslide and water spilling from them and the skates cutting across the water rushing down the waterslide.
The mural talks to the Mt Druitt Waterworks and Roller Rink, places that are now closed however were once at the heart of the local community and have now been reimagined to allow customers to take a trip down memory lane while when making use of the Food Court.
We are so excited to be able to deliver your freshened-up Food Court and we hope you like it as much as we do.
