Summer in JAG, by Kate Kohler

JAG, Level 2

Capsule wardrobes are popular for two reasons: fewer items that offer greater versatility, which in turn simplifies getting ready each day. But what about personality pieces? The individual flair that feels fun, edgy or what I like to call, zesty! Without these pieces, after a time your hard-working capsule wardrobe can feel flat or safe. So how do you introduce zest? Welcome to the JAG x Chloe Fisher collaboration available at JAG, Westfield Kotara, a seamless collection that offers signature JAG comfort and a little zhuzh your style is craving.

Words, photos and styling by Westfield Kotara stylist, Kate Kohler.

Starting with the Andi Off Shoulder Top and matching pant, this is THE SET for those who have loved JAG’s classic linen sets. The difference? This fabric is 100% ramie and feels like air – in Eleanor’s words, “perfect for the peris”. While the Andi Top is perfect for elevated occasions, you also have the Andi Long Sleeve Shirt for more casual days. Style tip: tie the shirt at the front and cuff the sleeves for a more proportional fit if you feel this style of shirt overwhelms your shape.

For those not ready to commit to a set, the Minnie Blanket Stitch Tank is a JAG staple that feels like an elevated basic. A gorgeous shade of pink without feeling too much, particularly for neutral-gal wardrobes and the contrast stitching is simple yet effective. Maybe you want to introduce a skirt this season? The Bobbi Bias Midi Skirt will not only style back with the Andi Off Shoulder, Andi Long sleeve and Minnie Tank but I love encouraging clients to use a lyocell/linen blend skirt as a sarong – now that’s versatility!

Let’s talk dresses! Every client wants a throw-on-and-go dress that requires minimal care, feels effortless and can be styled with cute sneakers, slides or a low heel. Look no further than the Bloom Linen Classic Dress, featuring a boat neckline (one of the most flattering necklines for all bust sizes) and a gathered waist, giving you a gorgeous shape with minimal effort. Style tip: chocolate looks classic with neutral accessories but also sensational with colour. Think powder blue, mint, lemon or pink for a burst of zest. Don’t forget the zest!
