Homelessness Week 2025

Join Us in Supporting Homelessness Week 2026

Homelessness Week, held 3 - 9 August, raises awareness of the realities of homelessness and the collective action needed to help end it. This national event is a reminder that homelessness can affect anyone - from families priced out of the rental market to older adults struggling with limited support.

Since July 2025, Uniting WA has responded to 254 reports of homelessness across the City of Stirling, demonstrating the growing need for support within our local community. Behind each report is a person experiencing difficult circumstances and seeking help.

How You Can Help

We're collecting mini essential toiletries to support people experiencing homelessness in our community. Please donate new, unopened, and unexpired items by dropping them into the donation box by August 31. Your donations will be distributed directly by City of Stirling's Community Safety team to those who need it most.

Date: 3 August - 31 August
Location: Donation box near Concierge Desk, by Strand

Although Homelessness Week runs for a week only, we're extending our collection window through the entire month of August, giving the community more opportunity to lend a helping hand.

What We're Collecting

To make the greatest impact, our community partners have identified the items most needed right now. If you're able to donate, please consider choosing from the priority list below.

Most needed items:

  • Toiletry bags
  • Deodorant
  • Sanitiser
  • Sunscreen

Additional donation items:

  • Shampoo & conditioner
  • Toothbrush & toothpaste
  • Body cream
  • Face wash
  • Band-aids, sunscreen & tissues

Please kindly note we are only able to accept new, unopened, and unexpired products. We're unable to accept razors or sanitary items.

While these items are our highest priority, all new, unopened travel-sized toiletries are greatly appreciated.

Every contribution helps support people in our community who need it most. Thank you for helping make a meaningful difference during Homelessness Week 2026.
