Kirst’s unwavering dedication to children with additional needs has helped more than 200 families across Western Australia gain access to life-changing therapy and care through the Saba Rose Button Foundation (SRBF).

Healing Smiles

Jacinta Vu, a director of Healing Smiles in Perth, helps women affected by domestic violence access free dental care in a safe, supportive environment. By connecting them with volunteer practitioners, the charity helps restore oral health, dignity, and self-esteem. Since 2018, over 600 women have received this treatment that helps them move forward with their lives.

The Underground Collaborative

Katie founded The Underground Collaborative to break the cycle of homelessness for at-risk young people and women affected by family and domestic violence. Through its foundations of education, empowerment, and employment initiatives, the organisation creates pathways to independence, builds new hope and confidence within individuals, and strengthens the wider Perth community.

City of Stirling Mens Shed

As a founding member of the Stirling Community Men’s Shed, Ash Moon has dedicated 13 years to enhancing men’s mental health and wellbeing. Ash maintains machinery and equipment, leads community projects and provides mentorship to newer members. The Men’s Shed benefits more than 2,000 locals through its projects.

Man Up WA

Gareth Shanthikumar, co-founder of MAN UP WA, wants to inspire young men to live authentically, embrace vulnerability, and hold one another accountable. His workshops with high school students cover mental health, resilience, consent and gender-based violence. Gareth provides subsidies to low socioeconomic schools and has helped more than 7,000 students so far.

Ambulance Wish Western Australia

Kind paramedic Gary Wilson digs deep to provide terminally ill people with the specialist transport with
medical care they need to fulfil their final wishes. Gary is the volunteer co-founder of Ambulance Wish Western Australia, a charity that enables people to experience a joyous family occasion, visit a meaningful place or do something on their bucket list that would otherwise be out of reach.

Cycling Without Age Australia

Marjolijn Godrich goes above and beyond to give older people and those with disability an opportunity to enjoy the wind in their face as they take a morale-boosting outdoor cycle ride. Marjolijn is an enthusiastic volunteer leader at Cycling Without Age Perth, where she takes people unable to ride themselves on free rides on three-wheeled e-bikes.
