From a chick flick and cocktail with the girls to everyone's favourite date night out, here are the perfect combos to help you plan your next cinema trip, complete with the restaurants to match.

Date Night:

Whether you’re looking for a first date idea or in need of some quality time with your partner, a candle-lit dinner at your favourite restaurant complemented by a new release is the perfect option (and one that has been off the cards for a while now).

Here are some of our top restaurant picks to set the scene and create a little bit of romance. Don’t forget to book in ahead of time to reserve your table.

Now it’s time to end the night on a high - grab yourselves a choc top for dessert and head on in to view one of these new releases:

  • Baby Teeth: (July 23) - Teenager Milla falls in love with a small-time drug dealer Moses, and it’s her protective parents’ worst nightmare. Things get messy and morals go out the window, as the lives of those around the family become intertwined and Milla shows those in her orbit how to live like you have nothing to lose.
  • Mulan: (August 20) - When the Emperor of China issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army to defend the country from Northern invaders, Hua Mulan, the eldest daughter of an honoured warrior, steps in to take the place of her ailing father. Masquerading as a man, Hua Jun, she is tested every step of the way and must harness her inner-strength and embrace her true potential.
  • The Broken Hearts Gallery: (August 6) - The Broken Hearts Gallery follows the always unique Lucy, a 20-something art gallery assistant living in New York City, who also happens to be an emotional hoarder. After she gets dumped by her latest boyfriend, Lucy is inspired to create The Broken Heart Gallery, a pop-up space for the items love has left behind.
