International Sushi Day

Monday June 18th is International Sushi Day and we're teaming up with the amazing and skilled team at amigo and amigo to create large scale Sushi sculptures in centre to celebrate and kick off our 4 day festival - Hurstville’s World of Sushi.

Come see our three Sushi Plates, each 2m in diameter and all three made out of fashion accessories and clothing!

Snap and share!

We want to know if you love Sushi as much as we do.

Snap a selfie with our giant sushi, share on instagram and hastag #westfieldhurstville and #hurstvillesworldofsushi for your chance to win 1 of 6 pairs of Salmon Sushi socks (valued at RRP: $16.95) and for our Major Prize, a $50 Westfield gift card. Competition closes Monday 18 June. View terms and conditions here.

About amigo and amigo

amigo and amigo, co-founded by Simone Chua and Renzo B. Larriviere is a Sydney based artist studio with a
background in sculpture and Industrial Design. We are passionate about public art and experimental forms. Our body of work showcases our ability to use materials to transform spaces and engage the public. Our projects are predominantly large scale and technically complex. They are playful in nature and are designed to transform environments into memorable experiences, inviting audiences to interact with the work.

The amigos’ installation work has been showcased internationally and featured outside Sydney’s Opera House as part of City of Sydney’s Lunar Lanterns and showcased at Sydney’s Vivid Light Festival for the last 5 consecutive years. Their 2015 installation Affinity was commissioned by Destination NSW and featured outside Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art. Their 2012 installation Ray was surveyed by IBM as the most popular sculpture at Vivid.
