Healthy Minds Expo

Mental Health Month gives us an opportunity to raise awareness about mental health and wellbeing we will be supporting mental health and well-being in the community.

To celebrate “Sharing the Journey” we have 23 local community groups onsite to share their services and contribute to a fun and engaging day for our customers.

2Connect (Community Drug Action Team and Ready Project)
2Connect supports young people from the age of 10-25 and their families with mental health and wellbeing by empowering people and creating positive futures. The Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) prevents harm from alcohol and other drugs to young people in the community.

3Bridges Community
At 3 Bridges, we know how important the connection to community is so our programs connect people in healthy leisure and vocational activities that support their journey in mindful recovery. It is a priority for 3Bridges that all the people who connect in our programs continue to be engaged in our community.

Aftercare
Aftercare is Australia’s longest-serving national mental health organisation. We are a specialist mental health organisation working in partnership with our service users, their family and carers, and with other organisations supporting people with persistent mental illness

Calvary Bereavement Counselling Services
Calvary Bereavement Counselling Service is a specialist bereavement counselling service offering face to face counselling, support groups, education and consultation on loss and grief.

Campbell Page
Campbell Page is a not for profit organisation dedicated to making a difference in our communities. We focus on the individual’s journey and help those with a disability, illness, injury or health condition find and stay in employment.

CanRevive
CanRevive is a non-profit organization to support Chinese speaking people who affected by cancer and provides information and emotional support services to cater for their cultural and linguistic needs.

CESPHN
Central and Eastern Sydney PHN provides funding for free mental health services that match an individual’s choice and level of need, as part of a stepped care approach.

Clever Care NOW
Clever Care Now – caring for the community Home-nursing, patient transport, day trips and health checks.

Flourish Autralia
Flourish Australia offers a range of services to meet the different needs of those with a lived experience of a mental health issue in the community.

Georges River Council
Georges River Council supports the community to promote social connection and strengthen wellbeing through various programs and events.

Greyhound Rescue
Greyhound Rescue ethically rescues, lovingly rehabilitates, and safely rehomes greyhounds; giving them a voice through advocacy and education.Greyhounds by nature are very gentle and affectionate. They don’t need a lot of exercise, don’t lose much hair, don’t have that ‘doggy smell’, rarely bark and make excellent family pets.

headspace Hurstville
headspace Hurstville is a free mental health service for young people aged 12-25 going through a tough time.

Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre
Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre Inc is a community based, locally managed community organisation committed to identifying and responding to a range of needs in the local community with special consideration for the socially, economically and linguistically disadvantaged.

Kogarah Community Services
Kogarah Community Services celebrates diversity and provides activities & services across all stages of life.

Konekt Employment
We are a Disability Employment Service provider that assists people in taking steps to return to work. We address employment barriers, assist with start to finish recruitment process, finding suitable work and supporting them whilst they work.

Mission Australia- Tenants Participation and Community Engagement
Tenants Participation & Community Engagement (TPCE) working with FACS Housing tenants to manage their tenancy in the Sutherland Shire and St George Area.

Mood Active
Mood Active is a charity association aimed at helping individuals with anxiety and/or depression to get back on their feet through exercise.

New Horizons
New Horizons are the experts in wellbeing, with specialist services spanning disability, mental health, youth, aged care, Indigenous and homelessness.

St George and Sutherland Mental Health Services/South East Sydney Recovery College
Providing community and inpatient assessment, treatment, case management, education and rehabilitation to people living with mental illness in the St George and Sutherland area, and supporting learning to assist with mental health recovery.

St Vincent de Paul- Compeer Program
The Compeer Program matches people who are isolated through mental health challenges with a friendly volunteer in a one on one friendship

TEAM (Think Eat and Move Program)
Free eight week online healthy lifestyle program for teens in Central and Eastern Sydney, with personalised coaching and support, weekly interactive modules, and great rewards and incentives to help teens improve their health.
