The Wandering Man: Building Stronger Connections for Men in Our Community

This Father's Day, Westfield Geelong is proud to welcome The Wandering Man, a local organisation making a real difference in the lives of men across our region.

Dedicated to promoting men's wellbeing and mental health, The Wandering Man was established in Geelong to create a safe, supportive space where men can connect, share experiences and support one another. Through meaningful conversation and genuine connection, the organisation helps combat loneliness and encourages better mental wellbeing.

What began as a grassroots initiative has grown into a movement that encourages men to speak openly, seek support and build stronger relationships. Through community events, coffee catch-ups, guest speakers and weekly activities, The Wandering Man creates opportunities for connection without judgement, reminding men they don't have to face life's challenges alone.

Their message is simple but powerful: "Show Up, Step Up, Stay Connected." By fostering mateship, encouraging vulnerability and breaking down the stigma surrounding men's mental health, they're helping build a healthier, more connected community.

This Father's Day is an opportunity to recognise the importance of supporting the wellbeing of fathers, sons, brothers, partners and friends. The work of The Wandering Man reminds us that a simple conversation can make a lasting difference.
