Zimmermann’s Fall Ready to Wear 2026 collection celebrates confidence, independence and a distinctly Australian spirit, inspired by the trailblazing women of the 1920s.

Drawing on a generation of Australian women who challenged convention and redefined what was possible, Creative Director Nicky Zimmermann looked to stories of pioneering authors, adventurers, athletes and lifesavers to shape the collection.

“My grandmother was a lifesaver at Coogee Beach in her late teens, and her stories of that time always captivated me,” says Zimmermann. “Across their diverse fields, these women refused to accept boundaries and formed part of a generational movement.”

That spirit of independence comes to life through a collection that balances utility with femininity. Structured jumpsuits, crisp tailoring and references to sporting uniforms are softened by fluid silhouettes, lingerie-inspired details and delicate layering.

Traditional menswear codes are reimagined throughout. Silk scarves featuring aviation and sporting scenes become flowing skirts and dresses, while cricket whites inspire cream wool suiting. Sculptural denim, leather bombers and utility-inspired separates bring a confident edge, contrasted with ruffled silk, intricate lace and corset-like detailing.

Texture and movement remain central to the ZIMMERMANN aesthetic, with shearling, velvet, silk and denim layered throughout the collection. Art Deco influences also emerge through hand-drawn prints, geometric cut-outs and sweeping silk georgette.

Accessories complete the story, from embroidered velvet mules and evening pouches to new interpretations of the Cloud 91 bag and statement jewellery inspired by exotic birds.
