The event also marks the 80th anniversary of the CBCA Book of the Year Awards, recognising the stories that have inspired generations of young readers.

Book Week is one of the most anticipated events on the daycare, preschool and primary school calendar, giving children the chance to bring their favourite book characters to life through costumes, parades and classroom activities.
