Westfield Women Walkers



Westfield Whitford City has joined with Women's Healthworks to establish a weekly walking group within the centre. Joining Westfield Women's Walkers has more than just health benefits:

- It's free and accessible
- It's social - you can get to know people in your neighbourhood or workplace and have a regular catch up with family and friends and you walk. And after you walk!
- No special skills or equipment required
- Being part of a group will keep you motivated
- The walking group is open to all ages and fitness levels

The Heart Foundation encourages people to get at least 30mins of physical activity on most, preferably all, days of the week. Health benefits include:

- Reduces the risk of stroke and developing heart disease
- Helps to manage weight, blood pressure and cholesterol
- Can reducethe effects of stress
- Improves self-esteem and mental health
- Is low impact and so less jarring on your joints

Joining a walking group is the perfect way to integrate this level of activity into your lifestyle.
