We congratulate all of our finalists and recognise the important contribution they make to the local community.

This year Westfield will award 126 grants across Australia and New Zealand totalling $1.25M. Now in its 7th year, the Westfield Local Heroes program will have contributed $8.6M to more than 860 successful Local Hero organisations since it began.

Voting has now closed and the Westfield Local Heroes will be announced 15 October.

Meet our Local Hero finalists

Antoinette Sulfaro

Ladies Like To Lunch

Caring. Dedicated. Inspiring.

Antoinette Sulfaro is dedicated to supporting women with cancer in our community. Through her not-for-profit organisation, Ladies Like to Lunch, she provides care packages to women undergoing cancer treatment and organises events where women can support one another. Antoinette's fundraising efforts, particularly with Pink Ribbon, have raised nearly $118,000 since 2019.

If Antoinette is successful in the community vote, she will enhance the Care Package Program provided to women with cancer in our community. Additionally, she will help the Liverpool Wellness Centre increase services like acupuncture and oncology massage.

Jason Luu

Top Blokes Foundation

Dedicated. Authentic. Passionate.

Through the Top Blokes Foundation, Jason Luu provides mentorship to boys aged 10-24. He helps them develop critical thinking, resilience and mental health awareness. In the last year, Jason has mentored 180 people and supports another 200 program graduates each month.

If Jason is successful in the community vote, the money will enable three schools in our community to receive the Top Blokes Foundation mentorship program for free, supporting more at-risk young men.

Joline George

Help You Cope

Compassionate. Caring. Selfless.

Joline George, founder and director of Help You Cope, supports caregivers of individuals with autism. Inspired by her son's diagnosis and the isolation she experienced as a caregiver; she retrained as a counsellor and founded the non-profit. Help You Cope provides resources, workshops and support groups that impact 1,750 people nationwide.

If Joline is successful in the community vote, she will use the funds to expand Help You Cope's offering. She plans to host monthly social meetups to minimise caregivers’ isolation and engage more experts to run workshops.
