Two ingredient play dough recipe

If the words, ‘I’m bored’ are bouncing off the walls of your house these school holidays, we just wanted to let you know about a little craft recipe that is so easy, even a six-year-old can master it independently.

Did you know you can make playdough out of just corn flour and conditioner? And not just any playdough. A smooth and stretchy playdough that has a lovely dusty texture and smells fantastic; making it a great sensory activity.

All you do is put two parts corn flour and one part conditioner in a bowl then mix it up until it resembles dough. No cooking needed. If it’s too dusty, just add more conditioner and if it’s too slimy? More corn flour.

We wanted to leave the recipe as basic as possible; to convince even the least crafty of households to give it a go. Your kids can, of course, make it as fancy as they want by adding glitter, food colouring, scents, gems or anything else they can dream up.

For children who are knee deep in the ‘slime’ phase, this is an excellent alternative for them to mix up themselves – and it isn’t anywhere near as sticky or messy. As long as your child is past eating-everything-in-front-of-them, this is the perfect activity.

Enjoy and don’t forget to check out all of the great school holiday activities in your local centre.
