Finding your fashion
Olivia White @houseofwhite_ has shared some of her tips in Finding your Fashion and her key go to looks for the Autumn Season.
Since becoming a mum, my fashion and style has really evolved. What I wear and how I shop has changed dramatically. Overcoming the struggles of your changing body shape both during and post pregnancy can also really affect your self-confidence and make it hard to adjust to your new self.
I’ve learn now that it is more about dressing for your lifestyle and finding clothing that not just makes you feel confident but also works with you and your day-today life.
Finding those pieces for your wardrobe that can adapt to your surroundings and take you from Sunday brunch, to kinder pick up to running a million errands!
As apart of my collaboration with Westfield Fountain Gate, I’ve put together a few of my current season favourites and how you can take these staple items and really make them work hard for you!
Drop Waist Dress
This wardrobe staple can literally be worn a dozen ways! From the daily grind with a pair of sneakers or flats to the super dressy with a pair of boots or heels and blazer. The drop waist is also really great if you don’t want anything too tight, but also allows you to still belt it when your looking for more of a slimming fit.
A great option for Autumn/Winter, that is sure to get a good work out and be a timeless piece for seasons to come. I’ve also teamed it with The Studded Sneaker from Decjuba, Red Flats and Boots from Jo Mercer, Black blazer from Witchery & Silver Bag from Witchery.
The Puffer Jacket
An essential for the cooler months, a long puffer is both comfy and stylish, with a little bit of sporty edge. Throw it on over your jeans or add a bit of luxe to your activewear for a practical and stylish look. A basic black is also going to be timeless in your wardrobe and remain functional for many years to come.
My pick is the Longline Puffer from Witchery.
Okay so let’s be realistic, activewear is a staple of most mums! Whether your sweating it up running around after toddlers or actually hitting the gym – we spend a lot of time in our activewear. So, don’t be afraid to jazz it up!
A lot of your favourite retailers also offer their own line of activewear, including Seed, Country Road and Cotton On Body! Even Kmart have some fantastic mix and match pieces that are great quality! So it also doesn’t need to break the bank!
My pick is the current season activewear from Seed, can never go wrong with a bit of pink and leopard print.
Another great way to elevate any outfit is throwing on a statement coat or trench. Something oversized, comfy and perhaps with a pop of colour to really pick up any outfit. Whether it be with your basic denim and white tee, a basic midi dress with sneakers or even your activewear.
My pick is the Reversible Coat from Seed
Another great way to really make your wardrobe transferable is to mix and match your footwear. Make sure you keep it comfy too and remember what I said about dressing for your lifestyle!
A comfy and basic sneaker, a nice ballet flat perhaps with a pop of colour to dress it up a little and a staple black boot are all a must for winter!
