Staying happy, healthy, and at home
Washing your hands with soap and water, followed by drying with a clean towel is one of the most important things you can do right now. Dry hands are common in the winter months but with extra washing it feels like our hands have aged years.
Soap and water, while effective at rinsing away germs and dirt, can also strip away the natural protective oils in your skin. Applying a hand cream after drying your hands can rehydrate and create a moisture barrier to protect your hands. A scented hand cream, especially one that contains lavender or orange peel can also provide calming and rejuvenating bursts throughout the day.
Calm, clear and open mind
During these times it is not unusual for us to feel more anxious than normal. You may like to make an appointment with the myhealth Medical Centre team to discuss looking after your mental wellbeing and those around you as we tackle changing times together.
Maskne no more
It has become so common and now there’s a name for it – Maske is caused by regularly wearing face masks. Unfortunately, the damp conditions under the mask can lead to acne breakouts and other skin concerns so it’s never been more important to look after your complexion. If you've got a beauty question that needs answering, speak to the MECCA experts over Facetime, in a virtual consultation.
For those lucky enough to have avoided maskne or tried and failed at the ‘no-makeup makeup’ look, we’re also here for you. Thank us later for this round up of MECCA faves to achieve a ‘no-makeup no-worries’ face.
