Fruit and vegetables
Fruit and veg are one of the most important elements in childrens' diets due to all the nutrients, vitamins and minerals they carry, so it's a lunch box must-have.

We recommend throwing in a variety of berries in the lunch box because of how rich in antioxidants they are. Add cut up apples, grapes and some cut up rockmelon into the mix to further promote good health while making morning tea yummier and more exciting.

We also suggest cutting up some celery or carrot sticks for the kids to munch on. What's great about these is that you can prepare a bunch at the beginning of the week, and have them last for a few days. Cucumbers and cherry tomatoes are also easy additions to the fruit and veg lunch box mix.

Rice crackers
Rice crackers topped with sliced banana or avocado can be super delicious. Find them at Coles on Level 1 or Woolworths on Level 3. Just ensure you read the ingredients and check that the ones you're buying aren't packed with added flavours or preservatives.

Healthy muffins
Muffins are a fun addition to a lunch box, and they don't have to be sugar-loaded. Check out these healthy muffin recipes from kidspot kitchen.
