Create an at Home Cinema on the Balcony at BIG W

BIG W, Level 3

There’s nothing like an Aussie summer. It’s all about getting outside, soaking up the sunshine, listening to the sound of sprinklers in the neighbouring yards, cracking open some cold drinks and throwing the snags on the barbie.

To make the most of the summer, BIG W has teamed up with Everyday Experts to create the ultimate guides on how to soak up the sunshine as Aussie families spend more time living, playing and relaxing at home.

Everyday Expert, Sarah, understands the importance of making the most out of the space you have available at your home, whilst keeping the kids entertained, so has created a five-step guide on how to turn your balcony into the walk in cinema you’ve always dreamed of below.

Step 1: Set the Scene- Find a blank wall or fence or drape or hang a white sheet in a secure area away from wind, if you don’t already have a blank wall to work with.

Step 2: Choose your location - Hang some lanterns on a nearby tree or on the balcony railing or roof to make the most of the warmer weather.

Step 3: Decorate - Next, depending on your space, provide beanbags, chairs, cushions or blankets to make sure seating is extra cozy.

Step 4: Technical Set-Up - Set the projector up at the correct height and get the movie all set to play.

Step 5: Snack Attack - It's not a movie night without some scrumptious snacks. Treat your guests to popcorn and pizza, sit back and enjoy the movie!

Sarah has brought the best home cinema guide to life with a range of BIG W products, including:

Outdoor seating - $499

Blanket - $29

Cushions - $15

Projector - $279
