What is Mid-Autumn Festival?

Mid-Autumn Festival is a time to celebrate family, togetherness and gratitude under the full moon. Observed by many communities across Asia and around the world, the festival is marked by traditions including mooncakes, lanterns and gathering with loved ones. In 2026, Mid-Autumn Festival falls on Friday 25 September.

Participate in a Mooncake Making Workshop

We have partnered with Sweet Lu to bring you a sweet and heartwarming free mooncake-making experience this Mid-Autumn season! No prior experience is needed—just a passion for culture to create your very own festive treats.

Come join us with your family and friends at the Sweet Lu Mooncake Workshop to create beautiful Mid-Autumn memories! We can't wait to see you there!

Participants must bake their mooncake creation at home. Instructions will be given on the day.

Dates: Saturday 12 and 19 September

Times: 1pm - 4pm

Hoi Chan's Mid-Autumn Festival art and the importance of family

To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival on Friday 25 September, Westfield has commissioned artist Hoi Chan, originally from Hong Kong, to create a special artwork that reflects the Festival and its cultural significance across many parts of Asia. Find out more about Hoi Chan and his artwork here.
