Westfield Local Heroes: Thank you for your nominations

Nominations are now closed for the 2025 Westfield Local Heroes program.

Westfield Local Heroes is a recognition and awards program that shines a spotlight on the individuals and organisations in Australia and New Zealand who make a positive impact to their local community or environment.

Our Westfield teams are now in the process of assessing all nominations and will select three finalists per destination. Your finalists will be announced Tuesday 19 August.

Up to $AUD1.25 million is provided in community grants by Scentre Group, owner of Westfield destinations in Australia and New Zealand.

How it works:

1. Nominate
Community members nominate their Westfield Local Hero by filling in an online nomination form.

2. Vote
Nominations are assessed by our selection panels against set criteria to create a shortlist of three finalists per Westfield destination. These three finalists per Westfield destination are promoted and go through to a community vote. From Tuesday 19 August we invite you to vote online for your hero.

3. Celebrate
The successful Westfield Local Hero with the highest number of community votes for each Westfield destination will be announced on Tuesday 14 October and awarded a $20,000 grant for the organisation they represent. Finalists will each receive a $5,000 grant for their organisation.
