Staying on top of your health at Westfield Southland

Staying on top of your health at Westfield Southland

We tend to have that little bit more time now and have been challenged to find new routines (hello lunch time Pilates), stay connected (must remember to unmute), eat well (or trying), and exercise at home (or at the very least wear exercise gear). Bravo to us!

It’s important however, that we remain on top of our regular health care appointments. As usual, for any general health issues, you can still attend your local health care provider’s clinic. You might even be able to arrange a telehealth appointment, so you can say goodbye to waiting rooms and enjoy a virtual lounge room consult instead.

myhealth Medical Centre’s new clinic located near ToyWorld are open and here for you. Simply contact myhealth or download the Medinet App on the App Store or Google Play to organise a consult with their team of expert doctors.

If you’re required to attend the clinic for treatment, ensure you follow the instructions the myhealth team provides you. This will include wearing a mask, sanitising your hands when arriving and potentially entering or waiting in different areas.

During a telehealth consultation your doctor might need to give you a prescription. Doctors can provide you with a paper prescription or send a digital copy of the prescription to your preferred pharmacy following a consultation.

Both Amcal and Priceline Pharmacies (near Coles and near Woolworths) are open and available to fill scripts as well as provide trusted advice and the health products you need.

The impacts of physical distancing and isolation can make us feel anxious and worried. Don’t forget, you can chat with the myhealth team to discuss how best to look after your mental wellbeing and those around you as we tackle these changing times together.
