Horror at what she had endured as a world-class young tennis player, outpourings of sorrow and sympathy, shame from those who were present when Jelena played and her father raged. Six years on, Jelena Dokic has made a name for herself as a commentator and motivational speaker, regularly discussing issues that are important and close to her, such as mental health, body shaming, abuse and living life well. In coming through her younger years, Jelena knows survival – in the face of dreadful adversity.
