Dapol O MGR HAA Coal Wagon (Brown) #354317

HAA hoppers were produced for the mass transport of coal from colliery to power station in a non stop loop known as `Merry Go Round Operation', this led to the wagon being known as MGR wagons. Over 11,000 of these 32T hoppers were manufactured for BR mainly at Shildon between 1964 and 1965. Founded in 1983, Dapol originally entered the OO gauge model railway market but decided to withdraw from the UK's OO gauge scene on 2000. Two years later the company entered the N gauge market by launching its 14xx tank engine. The company has since re-entered the OO gauge and O gauge markets.
