5 winter trends to get you back to business
It’s safe to say we’ve all been investing in cosy loungewear pieces to get us through the last few months, which probably means your office attire has edged its way to the back of the wardrobe. If your return to the office has left you in desperate need of new winter attire, not to worry – we’ve put together some of our favourite winter trends that will have you looking oh-so-2020 as you get back to business.
1. Check it out
If you’re wanting to add some depth to your work wardrobe this winter, heritage checks in muted colours are back and in force. Whether it’s a staple coat, a new blazer to add to the collection or some tailored pants Forcast or Portmans have you covered.
For the committed check-lovers among us, make an entrance on your first day back and rock the check from in full with a two-piece statement suit from Forcast or Portmans . The best thing about investing in a suit is you can make those pieces work hard across the season by pairing them separately with different looks.

2. Cape it up
The office environment can be hard to dress for in winter given the constant need to layer up and layer down. If your office aircon is against you, it can also call for keeping that coat on at your desk, i which can get pretty uncomfortable.
The solution? If you haven’t already, it’s time to invest in a cape. It not only polishes off an outfit, but serves as the perfect solution to keep you warm while giving you room to move. Take the plunge and visit Forcast and Decjuba to invest.

3. Head-to-toe neutrals .
Sick of wearing blacks and greys? It’s time to warm it up this winter with head-to-toe neutrals. Try layering different tones, or stick to the one hue and add some interest with different textures. Forcast, Portmans and Kmart all have an amazing range of neutral tones to play with. Don’t forget to polish things off with the perfect pair of shoes – neutral boots in delectable caramel and beige shades like the ones from Betts have also made a comeback this winter and are a great addition to brighten up any outfit (neutral, or not).
