Spring racing headwear trends to put your money on

Spring racing headwear trends to put your money on

Once upon a time, the spring racing carnival was ALL about the hat or fascinator (and the races, apparently!) Wide-brimmed styles, structured cuts, tulle, flowers and feathers... if there was a hat or fascinator, we found a way to wear it.

But as time went on and the races became even more about the fashion, we became spoilt for choice in what we could wear on our head trackside. Now, there are still loads of hats and fascinators to choose from, but ther's also plenty of other options too - think crowns, veils, headbands and hair pins.

Ahead of the races, we look at a few of our favourite styles that are a bit different to your regular hat or fascinator.

Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the most glamorous of them all? This year's crowns are a beautiful, luxe option to dress an otherwise simple dress. We love the stunning gem stones and modern laser cuts!

Jewelled Headbands

When it comes to the races headbands are nothing new, but lately we're seeing the regular headband step up its game with jewels, floral applique, gemstones and silver or gold hardware. They do a fantastic job of adding edge to a ladylike dress or jumpsuit.

Hair Pins

OTT headwear not your style? Hair pins are a modest option for the races so you still fit in with the dress code. Choose from geometric shapes, pearls, florals or stars to complement a draped silk number.

The last trend we're loving this races season is the veil - they have a touch of old Hollywood glamour to match the femininity of the spring racing carnival. Wear with a gorgeous ladylike dress, or a structured suit with pumps.
