NAIDOC Week 2018 will celebrate the invaluable contributions that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have played – and continue to play - active and significant roles in the community, local, state and national levels. Under the theme - Because of Her, We Can!

At Westfield Mt Druitt, we invite you to join us in celebrating NAIDOC Week with week long activities that the whole family will enjoy. View our events schedule below:

Monday 9 July - Sunday 15 July: In Centre Exhibition

Join us in Centre Court for a live gallery to celebrate the local Baabayn female elders and discover their stories and learn about their contributions to our local community.

Wednesday 11 July: Live Performances and More

In centre performances including:
as well as an . Plus children's face painting.

  • Welcome Speech by a female Elder
  • A traditional acknowledgement dance to welcome guests
  • Traditional style dance, led by an all-female cast to showcasing Wiradjuri Creation Stories
  • Interactive dance workshop
  • Children's face Painting

Saturday 14 July: Kids Craft Zone - Boomerang painting

Join us for NAIDOC week kids boomerang painting and creative workshop to celebrate the local Indigenous culture.
