At Westfield, we know our centre’s are more than just shopping hubs. They are lifestyle destinations where people come to connect, share and inform.
We cultivate spaces that are inclusive and welcoming, which our communities are proud to call their own; and we contribute to the social wellbeing and cohesion of our local regions through a number of programs and services. It is through this commitment that we deliver our purpose of creating extraordinary places, connecting and enriching communities
Westfield Local Heroes
The Westfield Local Heroes program discovers and celebrates individuals who promote social wellbeing and/or harmony in our communities across one or more of the three social values of Family, Youth Opportunity and Inclusion.
Westfield Local Heroes are recognised and voted for by their community, with the three finalists in every Westfield trade area awarded a $10,000 each grant to support their affiliated community organisation’s work and programs to grow and thrive.
The program is open to people in all sectors, including business, government, education, sports, welfare, community and not for profit.
Between 23 April and 16 May 2018, you can nominate yourself or someone in your community who you believe is a Westfield Local Hero.
For more information contact the Community Experience team at email@example.com
We work closely with key local organisations, groups and individuals to discover, celebrate and contribute to those things that are relevant and meaningful to the local community. We also invite customer and community insights via face-to-face, phone and digital channels.
Westfield Mount Druitt is a proud supporter of:
Lifestart - Get Inspired
Lifestart provides services to families who have a child with an intellectual disability or delay in development. It strives to give each child the ‘Lifestart' to help them reach their fullest potential, while respecting their individuality, unique qualities and future contributions.
Lifestart’s programs and supports have made a difference in the lives of thousands of children and their families. Lifestart assists families through the difficult period surrounding a child's diagnosis, and where possible, provides the required services once a diagnosis is made. It offers families a place where their child is welcomed, and where the family's goals and priorities lead the direction of the support programmes and specialist services.
Contributing to our local communities
We provide a dedicated space in all Westfield centres for community-focused groups (i.e. not-for-profit sports groups, community groups, charities and welfare organisations) to connect with people in the local area.
And our staff are passionate about giving back and we support them to do this in a variety of ways through Workplace Giving and Volunteering. For more information on any of our programs or services, please contact us.
