So much beautiful, hand-wrought detail surrounds this perfectly round, shimmering Rainbow Labradorite, it's hard to say what is more eye-catching; the setting or the stone!
ite is commonly known as Moonstone, though it's actually a pale version of the darker blue-toned Labradorite. Both are feldspar minerals, which means they contain many fine layers within each stone. When light falls between these thin, flat layers, it scatters in many directions, producing the phenomenon called adularescence; the light that appears to billow across the gemstone, giving its surface a glowing appearance.
