Winter fashion inspires the ‘Sex and the City’ girl in all of us; fun, sassy and outright fabulous. This season I want you to be inspired by the bold and the beautiful outerwear styles that might push you out of your comfort zone, yet fill the gap in your wardrobe you never knew you had. From long-line coats, heavenly trenches and ‘IT’ girl blazers to chic leather jackets, co-ord suits and Old Hollywood-inspired fur coats, your shopping cart will be pulling you in all directions as I show you how to style some of the must-have pieces this Winter.

Look one
Channel your inner ‘Gossip Girl’ with this tweed look and go for dramatic monochrome styling. I love a blazer dress with thigh high boots – not only will your legs look longer, it keeps them warm! Have fun with your accessories like this pattern clashing Marc Jacobs bag, cat eye sunglasses, a twist headband and oversized hoop earrings – very diva, but they will also complement the gold detailing in the bag.

Be bold and try this matching playful pink suit; think of it as something Carrie would wear effortlessly to martinis with the girls. Keep the look of the body as long as possible by tucking in your knit, leaving the blazer open and completing the outfit with a heeled mule. Spice it up with this gorgeous animal print bag and you’re out the door.

Often wondered how to create office girl wow factor but not look overdone? Voila! Black against creamy caramels will always look feminine yet boss-babe. Build up a wardrobe with core staples like these black high waisted elastic (YES!) pants and high neck knit, then add your fashion piece: ta da – the check blazer. Complement this outfit with soft tan leather accessories and Samantha Jones-inspired sunglasses.

Invest in a delicious fully lined coat for those extra chilly days. This coat’s appeal lies in its practicality, with front pockets, 100% wool lining and a minimal belt which can be buckled for maximum style influencer factor. Style over heavy layers or keep it minimal over midi skirts and soft knits – either way, this elegant silhouette will serve you for years to come. Add a touch of Charlotte with this molded baker boy hat, minimal tote and suede black pumps.

The perfect layer for any maxi dress in Winter is a black leather jacket. Keep your proportions in place with a style that sits at the hip, and opt for minimal hardware on the jacket for ultra chic styling. I love contrasting feminine dress styles with bold leathers, and this ticks all the date night boxes. Opt for a pop of colour like this on-trend sage sock boot; comfortable yet with a touch of glam.

Keep your day-to-day style on point with this powder blue suede bomber jacket; an easy layer that adds a pretty Winter hue to any jeans and knit combination. Opt for mid-blue skinny jeans that contour the legs thanks to fading on top of the thighs, then hitch the front of your knit into the denim and add funky sneakers to complement this sport luxe weekender look. Tie a slim, patterned scarf to the handle of your cross body bag for the ultimate finishing touch.

Fallen in love with the forest green trend? Add this divine long-line coat to your list because she is simple yet flawless; no tie required because the placement of darts will follow the curves of your body. Keep it minimal with high-rise washed grey denim and a button up cotton shirt, which can be transformed with a touch of gold and the latest must-have colour blocked cross body bag.

This outfit dazzles as textures take over. The ultimate faux fur coat for any woman swept away by Old Hollywood style; the glorious pink shade pairs beautifully with this sequinned A-line dress that throws multiple colours when caught by the light. Simply drape it on the shoulders for red-carpet-worthy nonchalance – get ready to ooze with glamour.

This season invites you to play with cosy knitwear and playful check print cardigans which pair nicely with skinny jeans and bright white sneakers. Pick up hints of caramel from your cardigan with oversized coats that will complete this on-the-go outfit.

Show off a bit of leg this winter and pair an A-line pleather mini skirt with graphic print jumpers and a long-line checked coat. Remember to tuck in your jumper, as it will extend the look of your legs. Opt for a pinch of must-have animal print like this cross-body bag, and pair with heeled black ankle boots – you’re all set for date night.

This classic silhouette is softer than most styles and will have you transition between work nd weekend seamlessly. Keep this look long with a wardrobe essential: wide legged black pants, which can be up-styled for a romantic dinner.
