How many boots does a girl need?

How many boots does a girl need?

I have always looked at shoes being the one item in every woman’s wardrobe that makes us happy. Why? Because they always fit. It’s boot season and I want to share three AW19 styles that are going to take you from corporate chic to elegant weekender effortlessly. From trend-setting chic shooties to glorious knee-high staples, this season inspires your inner ‘Devil Wears Prada’ Andy Sachs’ fashion makeover montage. Cue music.

The shootie
Shoe meet bootie; the low-cut boot you’ll want in your cart this season. She’s the sexy boot that you might overlook yet is the ultimate for office to bar sophistication. Styled back with sleek black ensembles as seen with the Country Road ‘Compact Knit Dress’ and ‘Button Trench Coat’, the ‘Haddison’ by Wittner from David Jones is the trend-setting style your colleagues will envy. A quick change for date night and your winter full-length skinny jeans are going to sit perfectly without having to tuck in or roll up.

The ankle
Finding the perfect tan ankle boot can be one of the trickiest items to find because there are so many choices. Which is why I want you to look no further than ‘Honesty’ by Wittner from David Jones. The slighted pointed toe, stitching across the foot, imperfect colouring and chunky block heel are all attention to detail I look for in an everyday boot. Not only are jeans and an oversized knit going to keep your street style on point but up-styling these boots with a delicate silk maxi and dreamy leather jacket like this look available at Tigerlily is going to give you even greater joy.

Knee highs
‘These boots are made for walking’….well actually they’re going to do a lot more for you because these fabulous Witchery knee highs demand attention. This classic winter trend is my weekend getaway go-to; paired with skinny jeans, a crisp white shirt and houndstooth double-breasted blazer, your weekend style inspires understated elegance. A two-way boot is always a good idea, styled as seen or scrunched down gives you the versatility a modern woman needs. Whilst black might be your norm I want you to delight your wardrobe with this fabulous aubergine pair, a fashion colour forever on trend.
