Gift ideas for kids of all ages

Gift ideas for kids of all ages

I am sure many of you are in the same boat as me. Over the course of the last few years, it appears all my friends are getting married and having kids. And now comes the fun part: every weekend having the days you used to spend drinking rosé in the sun at lunch with your girlfriends being replaced with baby showers, christenings and kids' birthday parties. Considering how many of these blessed events I seem to attend, one thing never seems to get any easier: what do I buy the little rug rat? Having very little in common with a 4-year-old boy and having been a 6-year-old girl nearly 100 years ago, it makes it extremely difficult to transport myself into that mindset to think what they might like to receive.

Can’t relate? Try this. It's your child’s 3rd birthday in a matter of days, you have a screaming baby in one arm while chasing your older "angel" down the street. It’s been a good three days since running a brush through your hair due to pick-ups, drop-offs, late-night feeds and restarting the latest Peppa Pig DVD. On top of this, you are now expected to host a third birthday party for 20 of your family’s closest friends. What are you going to buy your baby that will be well received and easy to wrap?

Whether it be a friend's child or your own, I have taken one for the team here in breaking down a range of age-appropriate gifts for children no matter the sex of the kid, their hobbies or your price range. You're welcome.
