Back-to-school donation collection for St Vincent de Paul

  • St Vincent de Paul, Outside ALDI and outside Kmart. View Map

Please support disadvantaged children in our community by donating essential back-to-school items to St Vincent de Paul, Upper Coomera Conference.

Westfield Helensvale will place collection points outside ALDI and Kmart from 10 - 28 January, 2020.

While you're doing your own back to school shopping, please place a few extra items in your trolley to donate to children in desperate need.

These children urgently need NEW items such as:

  • Stationery supplies; books, pencils and pens, pencil cases, sharpeners, glue sticks, markers etc...
  • Lunch boxes and drink bottles
  • Backpacks and school bags
  • Gift cards for school shoes
  • Plain school shirts, skirts and polos
  • Grocery vouchers for school lunches

The Australian Council of Social Services (ACOSS) reports that nearly 600,000 Australian children are living in homes where the income is below the poverty line.

Last year St Vincent de Paul Upper Coomera assisted 2,418 clients. An alarming 1,409 of these were children on the poverty line aged 0 to 16 years.

Please help disadvantaged children learn and thrive with your donation. Place your donations in our St Vincent de Paul collection points located outside ALDI and Kmart until January 28th.

To be able to participate in an education that is the right of every child, whether or not they need a helping hand to get there.
