R.M.Williams: Give me a home among the Gum trees
Give me a home among the Gum trees
For the 2024 festive season R.M. Williams is inspired by
John Williamson’s iconic ‘Give me a home among the Gumtrees’ a song, familiar to many Australians, recalls a heartfelt connection to the land and the simple things that ground us.
It is a call to return to the places we cherish to be surrounded by those we love, to give, to enjoy the simple things that collectively forge our character.
For R.M. Williams that place is amongst the gumtrees – a metaphor of home, a universal symbol of this land, imbued with distinct character, memories and unforgettable charm.
We are inspired by the line ‘The place that I adore’ to create a campaign idea that calls to those far and wide to ‘Give me Home’ this festive season.
Featured products include seasonal boots in new suede tones, leather moccasins, breathable
linen shirts, and cotton T-shirts with archival R.M.Williams graphics.
Each look embodies Australian ruggedness and classic style, grounded by the brand's iconic
footwear and Australian-made Akubra hats.
In addition, the campaign introduces limited-edition lifestyle items, such as branded beach
towels, durable leather bags, and travel accessories – perfect for holiday escapes or as thoughtful
gifts for adventures seekers.
