14,175 messages of thanks shared on our Walls Of Gratitude

This year has been a challenging one for many in our community - but where there is hardship, there is always generosity, kindness and resilience.

Throughout November, our communities shared over 14,175 stories of thanks on our Walls of Gratitude across Westfield centres. For every message, Westfield donated $1 to Lifeline Australia, rounding it up to $14,500.

Another great way for all of us to continue recognising those who give back to our communities day in and day out, is to jump on board when nominations for Westfield Local Heroes open in February, 2021.

Westfield Local Heroes is a community recognition and awards program that discovers and celebrates those who have a positive impact on their local community or environment.

Westfield Local Heroes are nominated by their communities, and the outcome of a community vote determines the three successful 2021 finalists for every Westfield centre. Each of their affiliated organisations are awarded a $10,000 grant so their work can continue to thrive.

In total, Westfield will be awarding 126 grants across Australia and New Zealand – totalling $1.26 million. Keep and eye out and visit www.westfield.com.au/local-heroes for more information.
