Tell us about Arkive Vintage?

Arkive Vintage are a Brisbane based business that has been around for 7 years. We initially started on the Gold Coast, however within the last 4 years we have opened stores in Westfield Chermside, Brisbane City and most recently here at Westfield Garden City.

We sell vintage clothing that ranges from the 40’s all the way up to the early 2000’s. We have a lot of classic vintage dresses, jackets and a lot of early 80's and 90’s street style!

What’s your favourite trend of the season?

My favourite trend at the moment are the wind breakers. We are also big into UK vintage fashion, so street style and leathers.

What do you like about working at Arkive Vintage?

It’s great to educate people, especially the millennials that come through, that the stuff they are wearing has actually been around for 50 years before they’ve even put in on. The quality of garments back then, the rarity of items that we do get in store and being able to educate people on sustainability. We do a lot of rework products – turning something that is old and making it more feasible for people to wear today. There is something for everyone at Arkive!
