The Place Setting
Just remember that you start from the outside in – so your entrée fork, followed by your main fork. Next comes the dinner plate, with the soup bowl placed on top, then your main knife followed by entrée knife.
Your glassware (the most important part!) is set above and to the right of the dinner plate with the white wine glass to the right of the dinner knife, the red wine top centre, and the champagne flute to the left.
The napkin can be placed either to the left of the fork, or beneath the soup bowl.
