Jeanswest has always done fabulous basics, but for their Westfield Exclusive piece, they’ve given their famous tee an update with a high-quality luxe fabric and a modern cut-out back. You can easily wear it not only between seasons, but also to the office with a pair of tapered trousers or out to dinner with a ladylike skirt. For my personal style though, I couldn’t go past playing up on the grunge factor by adding beanies, brogues and a backpack to the mix. The neutral colour also means it works perfectly with other block shades or patterns like tartan.
Kate Davies, Jeanswest’s Womenswear Product Developer gives us the lowdown on their Exclusive tee and their upcoming AW14 range.
Kate, how would you style the Jeanswest Westfield Exclusive piece?
The Belinda Metallic Tee is a statement for any night of the week, so I’ll be throwing it on with a pair of smokey indigo jeans, heels and my best party hat – job done!
What I love is that it’s a blank canvas! How should we add our own personality?
We would team this super cute tee with 7/8 jeans or boyfriend jeans, a biker jacket and of course some accessories, such as a floral scarf or one of our new tote handbags.
What else should we look out for in your AW14 collection?
We have great monochromatic floral prints hitting stores in March, along with folk-inspired shirts and jacquard print knitwear. We’re also loving our cropped ponte jackets and smokey grey jeans – both will be a big hit this season.
