The runways have been bumped out, the stages are in pack down and designers are likely planning spring showings – and yet it’s hard to shake the high of the Virgin Australia Fashion Festivities.
My feet have that familiar hangover of wearing high heels seven days in a row and my wardrobe is empty with Carla, Saba & Camilla now at dry cleaners. Yet I wouldn’t have done it any other way. For 168 hours, Melbourne became the heartland of fashion. Various activations and exhibitions throughout the city, the obvious showcase of talent from the designers decorating the runways and the fun and ever dynamic street style scene, and I was in the thick of it.
